Grounding fault location method of overhead line based on dual-axis magnetic field trajectory

Abstract To address the challenges in fault location distribution networks, of magnetic field under overhead line and its relationship with three-phase currents are explored this paper. At same time, considering influence sensor installation position, sag galloping on field, a grounding method an based dual-axis trajectory is proposed. The analytical expressions x -axis y obtained by least squares fitting. Lissajous figure synthesized then compared general equation ellipse, characteristic quantity expression characterizing structure obtained. Finally, criterion constructed using difference quantities ellipses fields upstream downstream point, i.e., length major axis minor axis, sign for ratio cosine value inclination angle. Compared other methods electrical quantity, principle simpler it can locate faults more quickly accurately. A large number simulation results show that proposed suitable different types conditions.
